As we all know that hot pockets are fast meals consumed these days. They are cooked in the microwave and are a yummy combination of different fillings like cheese, chicken, vegetables, etc.; actually, it’s frozen and needs to be properly cooked/heated in the microwave to make them edible. 

Thus put these hot pockets in the microwave for a few minutes, and they are ready to fulfill your hunger cravings. Although the best, quick, easy, and most universal way of cooking/reheating them is to cook them in a microwave. But if one has access to the oven, then it’s not a bad option either.

But the real question here is, how long to microwave hot pockets?

And the answer is…

2-3 minutes for a typical 1100 WATT microwave.

Step 1: Grab A Microwave Friendly Plate

The very first step is to get a microwave-friendly plate. Usually, it’s written below the plate, but most glass and ceramic plates are microwave friendly. And the plate should be big enough to move inside a microwave freely.

Then take out the hot pocket, remove the plastic and cardboard wrapping around it. Place it on the plate, get a crisper cardboard box. Slide the hot pocket inside the crisper cardboard box. Place it back on the plate and put it in the microwave.

Step 3: Microwave It!

Now start the microwave oven. Cooking hot pockets in the oven requires almost 2-3 minutes. Meanwhile, you can surf for trending news or get some amazing sauces for your hot pockets.

Try to microwave one hot pocket at a time for the best possible results.

Step 4: Check and Serve

After those two minutes, take an oven mitt and remove the plate from the microwave. Carefully remove the crisper cardboard and check the hot pocket from the center. The hot pocket can be boiling warm, so you need to be extra careful. 

Suppose you notice the hot pocket is not properly cooked from the center. In that case, you can place the cardboard back again and give another round of 30 seconds to 1 minute, based upon how warm the hot pocket was when you checked it.

Best Way to Warm Up Hot Pocket in Oven:

Although warming up hot pockets in the microwave saves a lot of time, however, if you are in quest of extra crispiness, try to warm up the hot pockets in the baking oven. This is how you can cook the hot pockets in the oven.

So first off, start with the preheating of the baking oven. Preheat your baking oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, you preheat the oven; you can place the hot pockets outside the freezer at room temperature. 

Step 2: Prep and Bake

Remove the wrapping from the hot pocket. Use foil paper or a baking sheet to cover the hot pocket. Based on your oven’s wattage and quantity of hot pockets, you can bake them. For 1/2 lbs. 30 minutes will work fine in a conventional oven.

Then check after the time if it’s nicely warm. If not, then you can give it another round of a few minutes.

It’s not recommended to store hot pockets in the refrigerator for a longer time. It’s best to store them for free.  It’s also not recommended to freeze the hot pockets after cooking/warming. Once you warm them, then it’s not advised to refreeze them.
