Life on the farm just got tastier! What do you get when you pair kitschy 60′s modern flair, picnic tables, charred grilled juicy burgers topped with fresh arugula, affordable prices and a line of hungry foodies? Well, you get Joe’s Farm Grill in Gilbert, AZ. Trust us this is not your average burger and fries joint, it is so much more. Joe’s Farm Grill is fast food with a fresh mouthwatering spin, a departure from the mundane and ordinary.

Sink your teeth into this! If you are a no frills, obsessed carnivore in the mood for a kickin’ Arizona, naturally raised beef burger with all the fixings then you’ve come to the right place. Complete with a self serve condiment and beverage bar, you won’t find any bus boys here. Joe’s Farm Grill focuses on traditional menu of classic burgers, hot dogs, pizza and fries with a modern twist, which meshes well with its fun & original decor. The mature tree’s, outdoor & indoor eating area, backyard Agritopia urban farm and delightful retro bathroom adds to the ambiance, making this quite a dining experience.

At Joe’s Farm Grill they are growing it and grilling it! Like the owner Joe, Joe’s Farm Grill is a down to earth eatery with all your common comfort food favorites on the menu done well with an unexpected twist. What makes this such a unique place to dine is not only do they cook with fresh organic ingredients, but they cook what they grow.  Right behind the restaurant they have home grown herbs, Serrano chili’s and beets for their scrumptious beet salad. While you savor every delicious bite, enjoy the view of the organic farm and feast your hungry eyes on whats in season. Rest assure that anything not grown on the farm is either local, organic or natural. If you are not an avid foodie then Joe’s Farm Grill is sure to make a believer out of you. Yes, its true you can get affordable, GOOD food but sometimes you have to drive a few minutes to quench those hunger pains. This eatery is shorts, t-shirts and flip floppin fine family dining at its best with a few ketchup stains to say you were here.

This restaurant is a home a way from home, a nostalgic farm house converted into a casual eatery. In fact it was the originally the Johnston’s family farm house, purchased by Joe’s parents, Jim and Virginia in 1960 where Joe and siblings grew up.  The restaurant was even featured on the famous popular Food Network show “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” with Guy Fieri (the guy with the bleach blond porcupine hairdo)

So, we took Guy’s word for it and decided to head down to Gilbert, AZ  to see whats cookin’ at Joe’s Farm Grill. Upon arrival we immediately new we were in food heaven once we saw the long line of hungry customers and amazing menu. With a hungry appetite and our parents visiting from PA we decided to live a little and share some of the items featured on the show and more. Lucky for us the portions were big enough that we could all share. (*Featured on Food Network “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives”) Go ahead start drooling!

  • Onion Ringshand-breaded in rosemary-dill panko. Guy Fieri summed it by saying “Kapital K Krunchy”

  • Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza -smoked chicken breast, bacon, blue cheese, fresh mozzarella, tomato, red onion, Joe’s BBQ sauce on a crispy charred crust.

  • Ahi Tuna Sandwich- Asian infusion ahi tuna grilled rare, served with wasabi mayo, Asian slaw and fries.

If you are going to visit Joe’s farm grill bring your appetite and some friends along on this happy taste bud joy ride. Don’t forget to try the Date Shakes and sweet potato fries, a great pairing with their Fortina Burger- You will not be disappointed!
